About Us

HKMO logo

Hong Kong Media Overseas CIC (“HKMO”) is an association of media professionals who have worked in Hong Kong or have been associated with the Hong Kong media and are now located overseas. We see it as our responsibility to use the freedoms outside Hong Kong to campaign for press freedom and highlight the plight of those who remain in the HKSAR. We also see the HKMO as providing a network for journalists overseas and, where possible, supporting our members through career development.

We also work with other international organizations to help with professional development and advanced training for our members.

International Cooperation

We sincerely thank our international partners for working with us to keep the Hong Kong media alive and free.
